About the boat

Short Walk is a 40' Island Packet built in 1996, hull # 56.   We are the third owners and bought the boat in 2001.   The boat has 2 sleeping cabins,  2 heads, a galley and salon where 3 people can also sleep (preferably grandchildren as there is very little privacy in the salon).





Since we bought the boat we have added/refitted the following:

New refrigeration/freezer (Fridge-boat keel cooler system)
Updated electronics with chartplotter
Redundant chartplotter on laptop below
Single side-band radio with pactor modem
New VHF radio (twice-one failed after only 3 years!)
New holding tank (don't ask; it's an ugly story and our only real criticism of the way IPs are built)
New bimini and dodger with full enclosure
Solar panels
Whisker pole
Walker Bay 10' rigid bottom dingy with 9.8 Tohatsu outboard
